KF40 - Low Speed / High Speed Fan Does Not Operate

Fan Control Relays:






NOTE: If one cooling fan does not operate, but the other operates normally, go to KF50. KF50 - Check Cooling Fan Ground Circuit

- Key "OFF".

- Disconnect Low Fan Control (LFC) and High Fan Control (HFC) relays.

- Check for voltage for B+ circuit at both LFC and HFC relay vehicle harness connectors.

- Are both voltages greater than 10.5 volts?

Yes -- Go to KF41. KF41 - Check Fan Circuits For Continuity

No -- Service open B+ circuit to LFC/HFC relay. Reconnect all components. Re-evaluate symptom.
