Variable Induction Control Valve: Service and Repair

Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC) Assembly:







REMOVAL

1. Remove upper intake manifold.

2. Disconnect main emissions vacuum harness from vacuum motor and valve assembly.

3. Disconnect vacuum motor and valve assembly linkage from IMRC lever and bushing.

4. Remove two retaining bolts from lower intake manifold and remove vacuum motor and valve assembly.

NOTE: Do not adjust travel stop screw. Possible damage to IMRC may occur.

INSTALLATION

1. To install, reverse removal procedures.

2. Tighten vacuum motor and valve assembly retaining bolts to 8-12 Nm (71-106 lb in).
