Engine Temperature Sensor: Description and Operation

Engine Oil Temperature Sensor:






The Engine Oil Temperature (EOT) sensor changes resistance in response to changing temperature of the engine oil. The engine oil temperature sensor resistance decreases as the engine oil temperature increases providing a signal to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), indicating the temperature of the engine oil.
