KOER Switch Self Test

Connect the New Generation Star (NGS) Tester to the Data Link Connector (DLC) under the dash. Turn OFF accessories.
- Perform safety precautions.
- Select vehicle and engine selection menu.
- Select year, engine, model.
- Select DIAGNOSTIC DATA LINK.
- Select PCM - POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE.
- Select KOER SWITCH SELF TEST.
- Follow instructions on screen.
- Wait at lease five seconds before depressing accelerator pedal to initiate the test, then depress it firmly.
- After test, cycle key to OFF before running other tests or driving vehicle.

NOTE: Special instructions required to clear Injector Driver Module (IDM) trouble codes:
- Key ON
- Record IDM trouble codes stored in "KOEO ON DEMAND SELF TEST" mode
- Access "RETRIEVE/CLEAR CONTINUOUS DTCs" from NGS menu to clear IDM trouble codes from memory
- Push "CLEAR ALL" button on NGS tool
- IDM trouble codes are now cleared from memory
