Transmission Position Sensor/Switch: Adjustments

1. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.

Transmission Range Switch and Related Components:

2. Remove the clip securing the parking lever actuating rod to the park actuator support.

3. Remove the park actuator support from the parking lever actuating rod.

4. Turn the park actuator support to the neutral position.

5. Loosen the Transmission Range (TR) switch bolts.

6. Remove the screw from the access hole on the TR switch.

Transmission Range Switch Adjustment:

7. Align the indentation inside the TR switch with the access hole by inserting a 2.0mm (0.079 inch) OD pin through the access hole.

8. Tighten the TR switch bolts to 8-11 Nm (69-95 lb in). Remove the pin.

9. Install the screw in the access hole on the TR switch.

10. Recheck the continuity of the TR switch.

11. If the continuity is incorrect, replace the TR switch.

12. Position the parking lever actuating rod to the park actuator support.

13. Install the clip.

14. Install the air cleaner outlet tube.
