Electronic Automatic Temperature Control (EATC)

1. Remove instrument panel. Refer to Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators/Instrument Panel/Service and repair. Service and Repair

2. Remove A/C evaporator housing assembly as described in Removal and Installation. HVAC Housing

3. Remove vacuum source line from A/C evaporator housing.






Plenum Chamber/Evaporator Housing Installation

4. Remove seal from heater core tubes.

5. Remove two screws retaining A/C electronic door actuator motor to the heater air plenum chamber. Remove A/C electronic door actuator motor from the heater air plenum chamber

6. Disconnect electrical and vacuum line connectors from the A/C evaporator housing.

7. Remove the four nuts retaining the A/C heater air plenum chamber from inside the engine compartment and the one nut inside the passenger compartment.

8. Remove the heater air plenum chamber from the dash panel. Air Plenum Chamber and Duct

9. Remove the heater core from the heater air plenum chamber. For installation, follow removal procedures in reverse order.
