REMOVAL
^ Raise and support the vehicle.

NOTE: When removing exhaust components from the vehicle, it may be necessary to use an oxygen/acetylene torch to heat the nuts, due to the build up of oxidation.

^ Remove the two exhaust inlet pipe-to-three way catalytic converter nuts. Discard the exhaust inlet pipe-to-three way catalytic converter nuts.
^ Remove the exhaust converter outlet gasket and discard it.
^ Remove the two three way catalytic converter-to-muffler inlet pipe and resonator nuts. Discard the three way catalytic converter-to-muffler inlet pipe and resonator nuts.
^ Remove the exhaust converter outlet gasket and discard it.
^ Remove the Three Way Catalytic Converter (TWC).

INSTALLATION
^ Inspect the TWC for deterioration and restriction. If necessary, replace the TWC.
^ Place the TWC into its mounting position.
^ Install a new exhaust converter outlet gasket between the TWC and the muffler inlet pipe and resonator.
^ Install new three way catalytic converter-to-muffler inlet pipe and resonator nuts. Tighten the three way catalytic converter-to-muffler inlet pipe and resonator nuts to 64-89 Nm (47-66 ft lb).
^ Install a new gasket between the TWC and the exhaust inlet pipe.
^ Install new muffler inlet pipe-to-three way catalytic converter nuts. Tighten the exhaust inlet pipe to three way catalytic converter nuts to 64-89 Nm (47-66 ft lb).
^ Lower the vehicle. Start the engine and inspect for exhaust leaks.
