Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Service and Repair

CAUTION: The Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor is a calibrated unit. Service hot wire engine element and housing as a complete assembly.

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.

2. Disconnect engine control sensor wiring from MAF sensor.

3. Loosen engine air cleaner tube clamps on air cleaner outlet tube and engine air cleaner cover. Disconnect MAF sensor.

INSTALLATION

1. Connect MAF sensor. Tighten engine air cleaner tube clamps to 1.4-2.5 Nm (12-22 in lb).

2. Connect engine control sensor wiring to MAF sensor.

3. Connect battery ground cable.
