Testing Notes
Affected Circuit(s) / Electrical Component(s):
PINPOINT TEST E - CODE: C1145
Normal Operation
With the vehicle at rest, the anti-lock brake control module monitors all sensors for coil integrity.
Description
DTC C1145 is generated when an open right front wheel speed sensor coil or an open in Circuits 514 (Y/R) or 516 (Y/Bk) between the wheel speed sensor and the anti-lock brake control module is detected. If this concern is detected during self-check after Key-ON, the ABS warning lamp will come on immediately. This is generally an indication of a constant wiring or component concern. If the ABS warning lamp proves out normally and comes on later when the vehicle is driven, this is generally an indication of an intermittent wiring or component concern.
Possible Contributing Components/Vehicle Wiring Concerns
- Poor connection at right front brake anti-lock sensor.
- Terminal damage or backout in anti-lock brake control module connector pins 10 or 22.
- Terminal damage or backout in 2-pin sensor connector.
- Open or shorted front right speed sensor coil.
- Open or shorted Circuit 514 (Y/R) or 516 (Y/Bk).
- Improper front wheel speed sensor cable routing, leading to above.
- Damaged front right wheel speed sensor electrical test circuit in anti-lock brake control module.
