Radiator: Service and Repair

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then drain cooling system.
2. Remove fasteners holding grill panel to upper center reinforcement and fascia, then remove grill panel.
3. Remove right and left headlamp and cornering lamp assemblies.
4. Disconnect and remove grill panel brackets from lower and upper center radiator supports.
5. Remove and position aside the hood latch support brace from lower and upper center radiator supports.
6. Remove harness cover from upper center radiator support reinforcement.
7. Disconnect underhood lamp from upper center radiator support reinforcement.
8. Disconnect harness from cooling fan and shroud, then position aside from radiator and A/C condenser.
9. Disconnect and remove upper center reinforcement from radiator support.
10. Disconnect upper, lower and overflow hoses from radiator.
11. Disconnect oil cooler lines from radiator using line disconnect tool No. T86P-77265-AH or equivalent. To prevent damage to O-ring seals, do not turn fittings in radiator.
12. Remove bolts and separate A/C condenser from radiator.
13. Lift radiator, shroud and cooling fan from vehicle as an assembly.
14. Separate cooling fan and shroud from radiator.
15. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Align stripe on hose with alignment rib on water outlets to prevent hose twisting.
b. Bleed cooling system.
