Cooling System: Service and Repair

1. Raise and support front of vehicle approximately 24 inches.
2. Slowly fill cooling system, allowing air to escape. Wait until coolant level has not dropped for at least five minutes, then install radiator cap.
3. Start and run engine until upper radiator hose is warm, indicating thermostat has opened, stop engine.
4. Remove radiator cap, then slowly fill cooling system allowing air to escape. Wait until coolant level has not dropped for at least five minuets, then install radiator cap.
5. Lower vehicle.
6. Fill coolant recovery bottle to Full Cold mark, then run engine until completely warmed up and top up coolant bottle to Full Warm mark.
