OIL PUMP

Oil Cooler, Pump And Filter:

Removal

1. If necessary, removal oil bypass filter.

2. Remove oil pump and filter body to engine front cover retaining bolts and remove oil pump and filter body from engine front cover.

3. Inspect oil pump body seal for distortion and wear. Replace if necessary.


Installation

CAUTION: Make sure not to pinch oil pump body seal.

1. Position oil pump and filter body on engine front cover and install retaining bolts.

2. Tighten four large engine front cover retaining bolts to 23-32 Nm (17-23 lb. ft.). Tighten two remaining bolts to 8-11 Nm (6-8 lb. ft.).

3. If removed, reinstall oil bypass filter.
