Interior Light Switch: Service and Repair

Door Ajar Pin Switch Location:

Front Door and Door Latch Assembly:

Removal

1. Remove the front door trim panel and watershield from front door.

2. Remove the power door lock actuator from the bell crank.

3. Disconnect front door latch actuating rod from lock cylinder.

4. Remove the rivet from the front door latch remote control and link and power actuator bell crank.




5. Remove the front door latch remote control and link from the front door.

6. Disconnect front door latch control cylinder rod from front door latch.

7. Remove front door latch from front door.

Installation

1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order.

2. Tighten front door latch retaining screws to 21-29 Nm (15-22 lb-ft).
