Ignition Coil Pack

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove cowl top vent panel.
3. Remove cowl top inner panel tube.






4. Disconnect engine control sensor wiring connector from ignition coil and radio ignition interference capacitor.
5. Remove ignition wires by squeezing locking tabs to release ignition coil boot retainers.
6. Remove ignition coil retaining screws and remove ignition coil and radio ignition interference capacitor.

INSTALLATION
1. Install ignition coil and radio ignition interference capacitor and retaining screws. Tighten retaining screws to 4.5-7.0 Nm (40-62 in lb).
2. Connect ignition wires. Connect engine control sensor wiring connector to ignition coil and radio ignition interference capacitor.
3. Install cowl top panel.
4. Install cowl top vent panel.
5. Connect battery ground cable.

NOTE: When the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 miles) or more to relearn the strategy.
