With A/C

Climate Control Assembly

Removal


1. Disconnect battery ground cable.

2. Remove instrument panel center finish trim panel.

3. Remove three screws attaching A/C control to instrument panel.

4. Pull the A/C control far enough rearward to allow removal of electrical connectors. Remove connectors.

5. Remove A/C plenum vacuum harness from mode selector valve.

6. Remove heater temperature cable.

7. Remove A/C control.

Installation

1. Pull the heater temperature cable through the opening in the instrument panel.

2. Attach heater temperature cable into control bracket.

3. Connect A/C plenum vacuum harness to mode selector valve.

4. Install wire harness electrical connectors to the heater control.

5. Position A/C control to instrument panel and install three attaching screws.

6. Install instrument panel center finish trim panel.

7. NOTE: When the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the powertrain control module (PCM) relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 miles) or more to relearn the strategy.

Connect battery ground cable.

8. Check controls for proper operation. Refer to Climate Control Assembly under Description and Operation.
