Upstream

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the air cleaner intake tube.
3. Disconnect the upstream Oxygen Sensor (02S) electrical connector.
4. Remove the 02S wire from the hanger.
5. Remove the exhaust manifold heat shield.

Oxygen Sensor:

6. Remove the 02S from the exhaust manifold.

INSTALLATION
1. Apply an anti-seize compound to the 02S prior to installation. Install the sensor into the exhaust manifold and tighten to 29-49 Nm (22-36 lb ft).
2. Install the exhaust manifold heat shield.
3. Install the O2S wire to the hanger.
4. Connect the O2S electrical connector.
5. Install the air cleaner intake tube.
6. Connect the battery ground cable.
