Combination Switch

1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then wait one minute for air bag back-up power supply to be depleted.
2. Remove steering wheel.
3. Remove upper and lower steering column shrouds.
4. Apply two strips of tape across sliding contact to prevent accidental rotation, then proceed as follows:
a. Remove three air bag sliding contact screws and pull sliding contact off steering column.
b. Remove air bag sliding contact ground wire, then disconnect the air bag sliding contact electrical connector.
c. Remove air bag sliding contact.
5. Remove multi-function switch screws, then disconnect the multi-function switch electrical connectors.
6. Slide multi-function switch off steering column.
7. Reverse procedure to install.
