Air Temperature Sensor ( Ambient / Intake ): Service and Repair

Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor:






REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

NOTE: The Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor is located in the engine air intake resonator.

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.

NOTE: When the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 miles) or more to relearn the strategy.

2. Remove engine air intake resonator.
3. Remove IAT sensor from engine air intake resonator.
4. To install, reverse Removal procedure. Tighten intake air temperature sensor to 23 Nm (17 lb ft).
