EGR Backpressure Transducer: Service and Repair

Transducer:





1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove air cleaner outlet tube.
3. Disconnect Idle Air Control (IAC) valve air tube from upper intake manifold fitting and remove tube.
4. Disconnect wiring from EGR backpressure transducer.
5. Disconnect hoses from EGR backpressure transducer.
6. Remove retaining nuts and transducer from its bracket.
7. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten retaining nuts to 5-7 Nm (44-62 lb in).
