Wiper Motor: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the windshield wiper linkage from the upper cowl panel.

3. Disconnect the harness from the wiper motor, then the wiper motor output arm to the wiper motor crankshaft bolt.
4. Remove the wiper motor mounting plate bolts, then the motor.
5. Reverse the procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Torque wiper motor mounting plate bolts to 5.9-8.8 ft lb.
b. Torque wiper motor output arm bolt to 19 ft lb.
