Manifold Pressure/Vacuum Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect battery negative cable.

NOTE: When the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 miles) or more to relearn the strategy.

2. Disconnect vacuum source from Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor.

3. Remove fasteners holding MAP sensor on top of A/C evaporator case.

INSTALLATION
Follow removal procedures in reverse order. Tighten fasteners to 1.5-2.0 Nm (13-17 lb in).
