Spark Plug: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the distributor to spark plug wires from the spark plugs by grasping the spark plug wire boot and lifting while using a twisting motion.
3. Loosen the spark plug with a suitable deep socket, then blow any loose dirt out of the spark plug wells using compressed air.
4. Remove the spark plugs.

INSTALLATION

NOTE: The distributor to spark plug wires differ in length and are numbered to prevent incorrect connection.

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
2. Tighten the spark plugs to 20-30 Nm (15-22 lb ft).
