Exhaust Inlet Pipes




REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery cable.

2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor (HO2s) electrical connectors.

NOTE: There are two HO2S located on each exhaust inlet pipe.

4. Use Oxygen Sensor Wrench T94P-9472-A to remove HO2S.
5. Remove the two exhaust manifold-to-inlet pipe bolts and nuts (two for each pipe).
6. Remove the two exhaust inlet pipe-to-inlet pipe bolts nuts and two nuts.
7. Remove the exhaust converter outlet gasket (one for each pipe) and discard.
8. Remove the two exhaust inlet pipes.

INSTALLATION
1. Position the exhaust inlet pipe to exhaust manifold and install two bolts and two nuts, but do not tighten.
2. Install exhaust converter outlet gasket and install two exhaust inlet-to-rear dual Three Way Catalytic Converter (TWC) bolts and nuts, but do not tighten.
3. Use Oxygen Sensor Wrench T94P-9472-A to install two HO2S.
4. Connect the HO2S electrical connectors.
5. Tighten the exhaust inlet-pipe-to-rear dual TWC nuts and bolts to 34-46 N.m (25-34 lb ft).
6. Tighten the exhaust manifold-to-exhaust inlet pipe nuts and bolts to 34-46 N.m (25-34 lb ft).
