Troubleshooting (Start Here)
Verification Of ConditionNOTE: Some transmission conditions may cause engine concerns. An EPC short circuit may cause alternate firing. If the torque converter clutch does not disengage, the engine will stall.
Verify customer concerns for transmission:
Required Equipment
- Rotunda 73 Digital Multimeter 105-ROOS1 or equivalent
- Rotunda 104-Pin Breakout Box 014-00950 or equivalent
- Rotunda Transmission Range (TR) Sensor Cable Manual Lever Position Sensor Cable (MLPS) 007-0086A or equivalent
- Rotunda Transmission Tester 007-00085 (Part of 007-0085D Kit) or equivalent
- New Generation STAR Tester (NGS) 007-00500 or equivalent
- Transmission Range (TR) Sensor Alignment Tool (MLPS Alignment Tool) T93P-70010-A
Determine Customer Concern Verify when concern occurs:
- Hot or cold vehicle operating temperature
- Hot or cold ambient temperatures
- Type of terrain
- Vehicle loaded/unloaded
- City/highway driving
