Idle Speed: Testing and Inspection
Idle speed is controlled by the Powertrain Control Module
(PCM) through the fuel injector pulse width and the idle air control valve. The controlled idle speed is calculated by the PCM based on engine load, temperature, and engine speed requirements. Refer to
