Steering: Service and Repair
1. Leave all hoses connected, except power steering pressure hose located at steering gear.
2. Place pressure hose in suitable container, then fill oil reservoir with power steering fluid No. E6AZ-19582-AA, or equivalent.
3. Disconnect ignition coil electrical connection, then engage starter motor while pouring approximately two quarts of power steering fluid into reservoir. Place ignition in Off position after fluid has been added.
4. Connect pressure hose to steering gear and torque bolt to 12-17 ft lb.
5. Inspect oil level.
6. Engage starter motor and add fluid until level remains constant.
7. Connect ignition coil electrical connection, then cycle steering wheel left to right several times.
