Spark Plug: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Use compressed air to blow away any dirt from around the spark plug to prevent it from entering through the spark plug hole.
2. Remove the distributor to spark plug wires from the spark plugs.
3. Remove the spark plugs.
4. Refer to the Spark Plug Inspection Chart to determine the condition of the spark plugs and service as required.

INSTALLATION

Gapping Spark Plug:





1. Gap the spark plugs to 1.0-1.1 mm (0.039-0.043 inch).
2. Install the spark plugs into the cylinder head and tighten to 15-22 Nm (11-16 lb ft).
3. Install the distributor to spark plug wires to the proper spark plugs as noted during removal
