Transmission Temperature Sensor/Switch, A/T

The Transmission Fluid Temperature (TFT) sensor is a two wire thermistor. It receives a voltage signal which is reduced by the resistance of the sensor in accordance with the temperature of the automatic transmission fluid. The signal is sent to the powertrain control module which interprets the voltage signal to determine fluid temperature.
