Air Injection Pump: Service and Repair

Secondary Air Injection Pump, Typical:





REMOVAL and INSTALLATION

1. Raise vehicle on hoist.

2. Disconnect secondary air injection pump outlet hose from secondary air injection pump outlet connector.

3. Disconnect electrical connectors from Secondary Air Injection (AIR) pump.

4. Remove secondary air injection pump retainer bolts and Secondary Air Injection Pump front sub-frame.

5. To install, reverse Removal procedures.
- Tighten retaining bolts to 8-12 Nm (71-106 lb in).
