Pre-Service Procedures

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove fuel tank filler cap and release fuel tank pressure.

WARNING: Fuel supply tubes will remain pressurized for long periods of time after engine shutdown. The Fuel Pressure Release procedure must be performed before servicing of the fuel system is begun. A valve is provided on the fuel injection supply manifold for this purpose.

3. Remove engine air cleaner.
4. Connect Rotunda MFI Fuel Pressure Gauge 135-R0035 or 134-R0094 or equivalent to the fuel pressure relief valve cap on the fuel injection supply manifold.
5. Open the manual valve on Rotunda MFI Fuel Pressure Gauge 135-R0035 or 134-R0094 or equivalent to relieve fuel system pressure.
