Accelerator Pedal: Service and Repair

REMOVAL and INSTALLATION

1. Working under dash and using a suitable tool, push the accelerator cable nylon bushing, from back side of arm, out of the accelerator pedal arm.
2. Remove nuts retaining accelerator pedal and shaft and remove accelerator pedal and shaft.
3. To install, reverse Removal procedure.
- Tighten nuts retaining accelerator pedal and shaft to dash panel to 14-20 Nm (10-15 lb ft) and check pedal for smooth operation.
