Secondary Air Injection Pump, Typical:

Removal and Installation
1. Raise vehicle on hoist.

2. Disconnect secondary Air Injection (AIR) pump outlet hose from secondary air injection pump outlet connector.

3. Disconnect electrical connectors from secondary Air Injection pump.

4. Remove two retaining nuts and one retaining screw and remove secondary air injection pump.

5. Remove three air pump to bracket retaining bolts.

6. Remove secondary air injection pump inlet hose.

7. To install, reverse Removal procedures.

8. Orient the secondary air injection pump inlet hose with index mark aligned to rib on secondary air injection pump. tighten retaining bolts and nuts to: 8-12 Nm (71-106 lb.in).
