Sliding Door Window Glass: Service and Repair











REMOVAL
1. Remove the quarter trim panel if removing left-hand body side window. Remove sliding door trim panel if removing RH body side window.
2. Remove upper garnish moulding from sliding door if removing glass from RH door. For LH, remove pillar trim and remove headliner.
3. Remove the retaining nuts from body side window module.
4. Push the window out carefully and remove.

CAUTION: Avoid damaging window assembly if it is to be reused.

INSTALLATION
1. Clean window opening surface of all sealer.
2. Clean existing sealer from window module if reusing.
3. Apply a continuous strip of 8.0 x 8.0 mm (5/16 x 5/16 - inch) Butyl Tape D9AZ- 19562-B or equivalent to back of window module. The start/stop joint must be at the bottom of window, between studs and overlap 24-50 mm (1-2 inches).
4. Install window module into opening.
5. Install retaining nuts. Tighten to 2-3 Nm (18-27 lb-in).
6. Test for water leaks.
7. Install quarter trim panel or sliding door trim panel.
