Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Description and Operation
OPERATION The Mass Air Flow
(MAF) sensor measures the amount of air flow passing into the throttle body. The internal element detects the amount of air and notifies the Powertrain Control Module
(PCM) with a varying voltage input signal. This signal helps determine injector pulse width timing.
