Timing Cover

1. Install engine front cover retaining bolts and stud bolts in locations and sequence as shown in no more than six minutes after applying sealer. Tighten retaining bolts 1/4 turn (90°) after engine front cover contacts cylinder block and cylinder heads.

2. Install remaining engine front cover retaining bolts and stud bolts.
3. Tighten all engine front cover retaining bolts and stud bolts in sequence shown to 20-30 Nm (15-22 ft. lbs.).
