When the lubricant level in an axle is too low, the friction between the parts generates heat and causes temperatures to increase considerably. If the temperatures become high enough, the parts may be galled and the lubricant burned.Check axle lubricant level. Adjust as required to 12.7-14.3 mm (0.50-0.56 inch) just below bottom of fill plug hole.
