Quarter Window Glass: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Remove quarter trim panel.
2. From inside vehicle, remove rear quarter window glass retaining nuts and push quarter window glass out of opening.
3. Remove all foam core butyl from sheet metal flange and quarter window glass if quarter window glass will be put back in.

INSTALLATION
1. If the new quarter window glass has a butyl seal as part of the assembly, remove the backing paper from the seal. If the quarter window glass is being reused, it does not have a butyl seal as part of the assembly. Install butyl service tape to the seal surface of the quarter window glass. Overlap the butyl service tape at the bottom of the window to prevent water leaks.
2. Position quarter window glass in opening and install four retaining nuts. Tighten to 2-4 Nm (18-35 Lb-In).
3. Install quarter trim panel.
