Refrigerant System Protection

PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE - A/C COMPRESSOR
The A/C compressor pressure relief valve is used to prevent damage to the A/C compressor from extreme pressure conditions by momentarily opening to vent refrigerant vapor.

SWITCH - A/C PRESSURE CUT-OFF
The A/C pressure cut-off switch is used to shut off the A/C compressor to contain the refrigerant in the system prior to the A/C compressor pressure relief valve venting.

SWITCH - A/C CYCLING
The A/C cycling switch is used to prevent icing and airflow blockage by controlling the pressure in the evaporator core so that the plate/fin temperature is maintained slightly above freezing.
