Manuals through 2025 now available!

Our trusted friends have launched a new website named LEMON, which has newer manuals. It also contains all the CHARM manuals.

Injector Driver Module: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

WARNING: Red-striped wires carry 115V DC. Severe electrical shock may be received. Do NOT pierce.

CAUTION: Do not pierce engine electrical wires or damage to the harness can occur.

CAUTION: Always disconnect the battery ground cable prior to working on the electronic engine controls.

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. On vehicles equipped with dual batteries, use proper disconnect procedures.

NOTE: When the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 miles) or more to relearn the strategy.

2. Disconnect the hose, remove the retaining screws, and set the recovery reservoir aside.
3. Remove the module.
1 Remove the upper and rear retaining screws.
2 Loosen the lower retaining screw.
3 Remove the wiring connector cover.
4 Loosen the wiring connector retaining screw and disconnect wiring.

INSTALLATION
Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
