Removal
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the ignition coil electrical connections.
1 Disconnect the ignition coil electrical connector.
2 Disconnect the radio ignition interference capacitor connector.
3 Squeeze the (A) locking tabs and disconnect the six (B) ignition wire and brackets and spark plug wire set.
CAUTION: Spark plug wires must be connected to the proper ignition coil terminal. Mark spark plug wire locations before removing them.
2. Remove the accelerator cable bracket and move it out of the way.
1 Remove the accelerator cable bracket nut.
2 Remove the accelerator cable bracket bolt.
3 Remove the accelerator cable bracket and position it aside.
3. Remove the ignition coil.
1 Remove the two ignition coil nuts.
2 Remove the ignition coil stud bolt.
3 Remove the ignition coil.
4. Inspect the ignition coil for carbon tracks or damage.
