Front Door Window Regulator: Service and Repair

Heavy Duty Riverter:






Special Tool(s)

REMOVAL
1. Remove the front door watershield.
2. Lower the front door window glass to access the two window regulator nuts.







3. Remove the window glass nuts.
4. Support the front door window glass in the full up position.







5. If equipped with power windows, disconnect the battery ground cable.







6. If equipped, disconnect the power window electrical connector.







7. Remove the window regulator.
1. Remove the nuts.
2. Drill out the six rivets.
3. Remove the window regulator.

INSTALLATION







1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Use Heavy Duty Riveter to install the new rivets.

NOTE: When the battery ground cable is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 miles) or more to relearn the strategy.
