Wiper Control Module: Service and Repair






REMOVAL
1. Open hood and disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove glove compartment.
3. Using the glove compartment opening for access, disconnect main wiring.
4. From under the instrument panel, use a flat-edged screwdriver to remove wiper control module from tabs on bracket.
5. Remove wiper control module from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION
1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order.

NOTE: When the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the powertrain control module relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 miles) or more to relearn the strategy.

2. Tighten wiper control module screw to 3.1-4.3 N.m (27-38 lb-In).
