Test Notes

BEFORE PERFORMING ANY OF THE TESTS IN THIS SECTION, THE BATTERY MUST BE FULLY CHARGED.

CAUTION: Do not replace parts unless test results say they should be replaced.

NOTE:
^ Keep the front door window glass rolled down during all pinpoint tests to avoid being locked out of the vehicle.
^ To lubricate linkage, use Multi-Purpose Grease Spray D7AZ-19584-AA or equivalent meeting Ford specifications ESR-M1C159-A and ESB-M1C106-B.

^ Spray into latch opening
- It may be necessary to remove the door trim panel to lubricate the entire latch and linkage system.

^ Manually cycle the lock ten times
- Check for interference around right latch and all linkages.
