Mirrors: Service Precautions

CAUTION: To prevent damaging the internal mechanism or outside rear view mirror glass, outside rear view mirrors, which are frozen, must be thawed prior to functioning. DO NOT attempt to free-up the outside rear view mirror by pressing against the outside rear view mirror glass.

CAUTION: Outside rear view mirrors should not be cleaned with a dry cloth or abrasive cleaning powders. Do not remove ice with a scraper. The outside rear view mirror should only be cleaned with a soft, clean cloth and mild detergent and water or Ultra-Clear Spray Glass Cleaner E4AZ-19C507-AA or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESR-M14P5-A, or damage to the reflective surface may result.
