DISASSEMBLY

NOTE: Remove the front countershaft bearing race only if it is worn or damaged. If the bearing race is removed, Threadlock and Sealer EOAZ-19554-AA or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSK-M2G315-A5 (Type II) must be used during installation.

CAUTION: Failure to properly support the case will result in permanent distortion of case during bearing race removal.





Remove bearing race with O-ring from case using a press and:
^ Remover Tube T77J-7025-B
^ Mainshaft Front Bearing Replacers T82T-7003-DH and T77J-7025-M
^ Countershaft Front Bearing Replacer T77J-7025-L (assembled to case)





ASSEMBLY
1. Install shift shaft lever seal onto bearing race. Coat bearing race outside diameter with Threadlock and Sealer EOAZ-19554-AA or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSK-M2G315-A5 (Type II) and position bearing race to case.





2. Using Pinion Bearing Cone Replacer T57L-4621-B and Remover/Replacer Tube T75L-7025-B, support transmission case on press. Press bearing race until flush with case.
