Electronic Brake Control Module: Service and Repair

CAUTION: Electronic modules are sensitive to static electrical charges. If exposed to these charges, damage may result.

REMOVAL

NOTE: The anti-lock brake control module is located behind the LH cowl side trim panel.

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the LH cowl side trim panel.
3. Disconnect the anti-lock brake control module electrical connector.

ABS Control Module:





4. Remove the two anti-lock brake control module nuts and the anti-lock brake control module.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Tighten the anti-lock brake control module nuts to 9-13 Nm (81-113 inch lbs.).
