Brake Switch (Cruise Control): Testing and Inspection

1. Key OFF.
2. Disconnect the brake on/off (BOO) switch connector.







BRAKE ON/OFF SWITCH SPECIFICATIONS
TERMINALS DEPRESSED RELEASED
1 and 4 Less than 5 ohms Greater than 10,000 ohms
3 and 2 Greater than 10,000 ohms Less than 5 ohms


3. Measure the resistance between the following terminals of the BOO switch with the brake pedal depressed and released.
4. If the BOO switch is not as specified, replace the BOO switch. Otherwise, reconnect the BOO switch and check the brake pedal height adjustment.
5. Return to the Pinpoint Tests. Pinpoint Tests
