Control Assembly: Description and Operation

The climate control assembly consists of three main parts:
- Air flow control
- Temperature control
- Blower motor control

Air Flow Control
For vehicles equipped without A/C, the standard climate control assembly includes positions for VENT FLOOR, OFF, MIX, and DEFROST.

For vehicles equipped with A/C, the climate control assembly includes additional positions for NORM A/C and MAX A/C.

Temperature Control
Temperature control of the heating and defrosting system is determined by the position of the temperature control knob (between COOL - left side, and WARM - right side) on the climate control assembly, and is accomplished by means of the A/C temperature cable between the temperature control knob and the temperature blend door

Blower Motor Control
The blower motor control knob determines the speed at which the blower motor operates. Each position of the blower motor control knob is detented for positive engagement.
