Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect the Volume Air Flow (VAF) sensor electrical connector.
3. Loosen the engine air cleaner tube clamp on the VAF sensor side of the air cleaner to intake manifold tube.
4. Remove the air cleaner to intake manifold tube from the VAF sensor.
5. Remove the TWC bolts and slide the VAF sensor from the engine air cleaner cover.
6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Tighten the VAF sensor bolts to 8-10 N-m (71-88 Lb-in).
