Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Service and Repair

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Drain the radiator to a level below the water outlet connection and then close the radiator draincock.
- This procedure will require less refill time.
3. Disconnect the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) electrical connector.
4. Use a deep well socket to remove the ECT sensor from the sensor housing.
5. To install. reverse the removal procedure.
- Tighten the ECT sensor to 16-24 Nm (12-18 ft lb).
6. Fill the cooling system.
